Enable Karmika Auto-Start on Ubuntu
Follow the steps below to automatically start Karmika whenever you log in to your Ubuntu computer.
The Karmika Auto-Start Script is provided separately. Please contact our team to request the Auto-Start Script before following the steps below.
Before You Begin
- Karmika must already be installed on your Ubuntu computer.
- You should be able to open Karmika normally.
- You must have received the Karmika Auto-Start Script from our team.
1. Get the Karmika Auto-Start Script
Contact our team and request the Karmika Auto-Start Script.
Our team will provide you with a file similar to:
setup-karmika-autostart.sh
We recommend saving the file inside your Downloads folder.
2. Open Ubuntu Terminal
Open the Terminal application on your Ubuntu computer.
You can use the following keyboard shortcut:
Ctrl + Alt + T
Alternatively, open the Ubuntu Applications menu, search for Terminal, and open it.
3. Run the Auto-Start Script
If the script is saved inside your Downloads folder, copy and run the following command:
bash ~/Downloads/setup-karmika-autostart.sh
Press Enter after entering the command.
4. Confirm Successful Setup
After running the command, you should see a confirmation similar to:
Press Enter after entering the command.
5. Verify Auto-Start
The next time you start your Ubuntu computer and log in to your desktop, Karmika should open automatically.
Ubuntu Starts → User Logs In → Desktop Loads → Karmika Opens Automatically
Important: Karmika starts automatically after the Ubuntu user logs in to the graphical desktop. Karmika will not open while Ubuntu is still displaying the login screen.
